Daily chores and weekly house inspections teach participants how to care for their tiny homes, therefore building their capacity to become self-sustaining future tenants and neighbors in the communities where they will eventually live. The village is safe, sanitary, gated, and supervised by on-site staff. Shared facilities include a kitchen trailer, restroom and shower trailer, laundry room, community center, park area, dog park, and a vegetable garden. This attractive, well-designed site offers a community setting with insulated tiny house duplex units (8×10), each with access to electricity and a locking door to ensure privacy. Hope Village Medford, OR | Opened in 2017 | Capacity 34 Various community partners visit the Urban Campground, Medford on a regular basis to provide wrap-around supportive services on-site such as alcohol and drug counseling, mental health services, housing services, job readiness, and legal aid. ![]() Participants at this location are referred by The Medford Police Department Livability Team. Once a participant is ready, they move on to Phase 2 with access to Pallet Shelters, Rigid Tents, and case management services. The focus here is stabilizing people and helping them with a safe place. ![]() In Phase 1, participants are provided tent sites and meals. The Urban Campground, Medford consists of two phases. Additionally, those who enter the Urban Campground, Medford with pets are allowed to keep their pets. However, those sheltered at the campground are restricted from using drugs or alcohol on-site. This is a low-barrier shelter site, meaning that there are no sobriety requirements for participants to receive services. The Urban Campground, Medford is a partnership between Rogue Retreat and City of Medford, and serves homeless individuals and couples with innovative Pallet Shelters, Rigid Tents, and organized tent sites.
